Fat to Skinny - Definitive Photos
My New Year's resolution is going to be a little different this year. I am going to transition away from (obsessively?) talking about weight loss and move to talking about my triathlon training. To finish off the weight loss talk I really wanted to capture it with photos. I took photos of my "before" and they just didn't do the trick. So, I was looking around Facebook and found two perfect photos. This is my before and after photo.
The first photo was taken Sunday May 9th on Mother's Day 2010. Ben was one month old. I weighed 225 pounds. The second photo was taken on Thanksgiving November 25th 2010. At that time I weighed in right around 160. Just over 60 pounds lost.
I started dieting and exercising on June 7th, 2010
I got under 200 pounds on July 7th, 2010
I got under 190 pounds on August 7th, 2010
I got under 180 pounds on September 1st, 2010
I got under 170 pounds on October 20th, 2010
I got under 165 pounds on November 20th, 2010
I stopped dieting for the most part once I hit 157 on the scale one time. That was just too low. In the end I dropped 60-ish pounds in about 5 months and 23 days. Since June 7th I have run 396.6 miles at an average speed of 6.9 MPH. I burned an estimated 61,673 calories. It took me 57 hours, 11 minutes and 59 seconds.
And now I am training for a triathlon and finished talking about weight loss and calories constantly.
There are a lot of people to thank, but I will start and end with my wife, Jen, who gave birth to our child in April and still found a way to enable all this. She is the truly impressive one.
